Into the Immortal Cultivation - Chapter 2306
[this testimonial——About one third of the consummation]
When the words “The road is still long” fell into the word document from the input method, my whole body seemed to collapse.
Squeezing myself for more than 100 days can be regarded as a satisfactory answer for this book that I have written for four years.
Completely unrealistic. He clearly said that he wanted to rest and relax, but he always felt that there was still something to do. If he didn’t write something, he felt that something was wrong.
This book has been written since the beginning of 2015 and has been written until the end of 2018, which is almost four years.
In the past four years, I also went from college, to work placement, and then to full-time.
I have changed a lot over the years. Precisely because of this, in my book, the biggest problem facing the long-lived is “self”.
I have changed so much in four years, what about those thousand-year-old intelligent creatures?
hard to imagine.
Of course, for me, the changes in these four years are more good.
At least, the first part of “Into the Cultivation” was something that I couldn’t bear to watch myself – it was so badly written, how did I write such a thing? Was it hard for me to write this back then (beep—)?
I’m probably making progress, which is a good thing.
“Into the Immortal” is my first work, and it is destined to be the most immature work.
Thinking about it this way, it’s really a pity.
Its setting is really interesting. With the help of professionals, there is a high degree of completion.
It’s a pity that the immaturity of me four years ago, three years ago, or even two years ago was the part that dragged down the novel the most.
In my opinion, the first third of the novel is basically unbearable. The middle third is still barely enough, but there is still something long, boring, and painful to see in the “Underground Chapter”.
Only the last third is really complete. According to the progress bar of the starting point app, it probably starts from “what you want to accomplish”.
A mortal seeker, a showdown with the master of the oracle machine.
From here, the story is “finished”.
I can only thank the readers who saw the end.
Thank you for your willingness to endure the previous part for this part of the plot.
And what caused this effect, in addition to my own level of progress, was precisely because of the change in my thinking.
Four years ago, I was a pure technology admirer. In my understanding back then, all problems can be attributed to “technical problems”, and all dissatisfaction can be attributed to “not enough progress in technology”.
Da Liu has publicly stated that he is a technocrat. This sentence affected me back then—what I saw four years ago was naturally a shallower place.
I just wanted to write a novel about Acura’s technological and scientific progress.
——Of course, this is also an idea that only came from the Shinkyo arc. Before the Shenjing chapter, I was just thinking about “write whatever you want, and practice writing speed”. It was this casual attitude at the beginning that led to the early quality of this work… a disaster.
And this idea reached the extreme in the Linghuang Island chapter.
“Fools, whether you want it or not, whether you accept it or not, whether you think the process is in line with expectations, I have brought you more abundant material, a future with the possibility of longevity, complete life, and free thoughts. You It doesn’t matter if you don’t want it, just enjoy the beautiful life I rewarded you with your anger towards me – anyway, the later things are none of my business.” – This is the answer given by Wang Qi.
Because I am a generation that grew up after the reform and opening up. In my impression, when my family was the poorest, I bought a discounted chicken frame to supplement nutrition during the bird flu period. Although most of the poultry meat that can be listed in the supermarket is safe, although it is still very happy to eat meat as a child. But now that I think about it, it is especially bitter.
And my generation, also watched parents’ mobile phones from PHS, to flip, to early smart phones.
The first phone I got in college, the Mi 2s, was pretty mature.
And things like Alipay that didn’t exist before also appeared in the process of my growth, and have the power to change the world.
All this is the power of “technology”.
In some of the science fiction of the starting point, “the natives are powerless to fight against a certain disaster, and the protagonist with higher technology can solve it without any risk”, which is also another epitome of technology worship, or a variant.
“Technology” is power.
What caused me to waver was during my senior year of internship.
I have a real experience of modern life, and I know the pressure and exploitation that exist in modern life. So I started to reflect, does technology really mean happiness?
Of course, I did not deny my pursuit of “technology”. I still sneer at the spiritual happiness of “physical suffering with religious experience”. There is nothing wrong with pursuing technology in itself.
But technology can also cause harm to humans if the power of technology is not tamed.
Maybe technology can really solve all the problems that human beings will encounter – but what about people before this technology came? In the process of the advent of this technology, are there people who cannot benefit from it? Whether all technologies can benefit all.
This also happens to be the process of creating the underground chapter.
Maybe Mei Gemu thought of this, so he would use technology to do evil, and put people who were damaged and ignored in front of Wang Qi.
Is this a torture?
Maybe it’s a thought process for me.
But this part of the story is not necessary.
Wang Qi is a person who can say “fools, just enjoy the beautiful life I reward you with your anger towards me”. He is a rational creature, and will not hesitate to trample on any fighting mantis that gets in the way.
The only reason why Wang Qi is not “evil” is that he is smart enough to ensure that he will not be on the side of “evil” – what he does will most likely be in the overall long-term interests of the vast majority of people. He will always be on the “progress” side.
Mei Gemu’s rhetorical question to Wang Qi was destined to be ineffective.
This is also where I need to apologize to the readers who read this story.
My thinking was unanswered. If you really want to get a perfect result, you should look in the monographs of sociologists.
However, it was only after this one that the novel reached maturity.
After the stars and the sea, the rhythm and writing of the plot can be regarded as mature.
Of course, in the process, I also managed to grasp my true thoughts – we should, as human beings, grasp the power of reason.
This sentence should be my biggest achievement in four years.
In the past four years, in order to write this novel well, I forced myself to read a lot of books. Karl Mannheim, Saussure, Marx, Russell, Husserl, Heidegger have all read some. For me, the process of writing is the process of thinking.
Acura Reason – this is the answer I finally got.
And my story is for that.
Heavens and humans – beings with supreme technology, may be able to achieve the state of “no matter what I think, the universe will obey me”. Some of their ways of thinking may be “emotional” when mortals think about it.
But the way of reason is the power of mortals to penetrate the unknown barriers.
This is the core of the plot of this book.
In addition to this core, the main storyline of “Into the Immortal” can be roughly divided into “three and a half” main immortal paths.
“Mathematics: Hilbert’s Twenty-Three Questions – Gödel’s First-Order Completeness – Incomplete/Incomputable – Type Theory/Internal Models/Constructability/Computer Science – Langlands Program”.
“Microphysics: Particles – Standard Model/Superstrings/Condensed Matter/Quantum Computers”
“Biology: Shapeshifting – Gene Expression – Central Dogma – Prions”.
Here are three complete lines.
“Astrophysics: Black Holes/Gravity – Singularity”
This is half the story.
The field of astrophysics is not the main part of this book. In addition, this part can be regarded as… the most maddening part of this book.
I even use some… unproven conjectures in astrophysics, non-mainstream inferences, etc.
For example, the “holographic principle” that once made Wang Qi “feel uncomfortable” does not exist. But in essence, the holographic principle is not absolutely true in our universe – you first have to accept the conclusions of some black hole thermodynamics, or “presuppose these conclusions are correct a priori”.
Another example…the principle of the establishment of the world-destroying Qigong Lagusi Xuan universe. But now the mainstream of astronomy actually believes that the Hubble radius of the universe is similar to the Schwarzschild radius, which may just be a coincidence.
In fact, most of the inferences about black holes that everyone can understand now have such problems.
We have yet to directly observe black holes up close.
In fact, everything we know can only be called “speculation”.
I’ve chosen a guess that is more suitable for the development of the story here.
The opposite, however, is the biological route. Especially the prion article, every detail and every process in it, I can even pull out a paper as an argument.
Here I must thank my old friend Morrowind Zero Rain, a neurobiological researcher, who even helped me correct small details in some biological processes and the use of many terms and concepts. I hope he and the monkeys he raised that “opened my eyes” can continue to be active in the academic world. In addition, I would also like to thank my classmates Cafune who did experiments in the United States for helping me correct some details about the biology laboratory.
“Microphysics” is a relatively detailed part, and the sense of existence is not low. However, to a large extent, the microphysics of this book is competing with the “Reiki theory”. On this line, Wang Qi completed the final and biggest transformation by “falsifying superstrings” in this world/proving that there are major errors in the aura universe and superstring theory.
In addition, this line eventually points to the fact that “there are different lineage theories in this universe”.
The other is “Mathematics” – the focus of this chapter, in addition to brushing up the qualifications of Wang Qi, the most important thing is to put forward the description of “the level of the computer” and “how strong can the great sage of heaven and man be”.
“How strong can a black hole essence be? Second-order completeness.”
“How to describe the great sage of heaven and man? It cannot reach the cardinal number, at least third-order completeness.”
However, this line is somewhat regrettable.
I didn’t have enough plot for “Snow Country/Soviet School”.
The Soviet School is the successor and promoter of Henri Poincaré’s thought. They were one of the most brilliant groups of mathematicians of the second half of the twentieth century. After the “natural aging” of the Bourbaki school, the mathematicians of the fighting nation became the best mathematicians in the world.
However, due to the Cold War, the influence of the Soviet school in the West was very weak. They have a thin presence in books on the history of mathematics.
However, the seclusion of Grothendieck, the decline of the Bourbaki School, and the end of the Cold War occurred one after another. After the collapse of the Iron Curtain, a large number of Russian mathematicians were employed as professors in American universities, and the mathematical ideas of the Soviet school eventually dominated today’s mathematical circles.
I realized this about a year ago. But at this time, there is not much room to give them a plot.
Only drag them out if you have to do a “closed time-like curve computer” – that’s too much.
It’s still about Lianzong’s time, but Lianzong’s presence is not enough, tsk tsk tsk…
Wang Qi chose to believe in mathematical realism because he had indeed witnessed different universes with “different physical rules but the same mathematical rules”. He gradually became aware of this during his research – alas, I still haven’t been able to characterize this in incremental form.
The attitude of the Soviet school to the Bourbaki school is definitely not as friendly as the Snow Kingdom is to the foundation building school in the plot.
In general, Wang Qi’s choice of Lizong is that he can participate in the discussion of the “level of computer” and describe the strength of the great sages, while retreating can be linked with the linguistic route of Saussure and Chomsky. In turn, it is associated with “artificial intelligence” and “genetics”.
And computer science is an important concept of “consensus algorithm”.
If I set the outline back then, the astrophysics component was a little more important, maybe what everyone saw was Lian Zong’s version of Wang Qi [laughs].
But in the final analysis, the difference between Lianzong and Lizong is the difference in “pedigree” caused by the difference in “choosing and accepting axioms”. Human logical thinking must have an “origin”. This origin is “axiom”. Whether or not to accept an axiom is more of an aesthetic choice.
Wang Qi’s Lizong finally defeated Lianzong, to a certain extent because “mathematical realism” is more conducive to enhancing the cohesion of the human race and rebuilding intersubjectivity. The Soviet school chose to believe in the “constructability” of mathematics because the mathematical concept proposed by Henri Poincaré, a mathematician who could almost be considered a physicist, was more in line with “materialism”?
But to a certain extent it is indeed an aesthetic choice. Mathematicians who choose to believe in mathematical realism cannot ignore the results of mathematicians who believe in constructive activities. vice versa.
Perhaps human axiom choices have nothing to do with nature itself, or are these two views united at a higher level?
Unfortunately, after all, I don’t have any more plots to deduce how the thinking of the Snow Kingdom faction will evolve in this world.
And a few clues have reached a connection here.
The plot after the labyrinth chapter is actually just “Wang Qi, the smartest former knower who has the most resources in the observable universe”, through the two different thinking abilities of “rationality” and “foreknowledge”, the last game laid out .
The transformation method and virus on the “biology” line constitute an element of the world-annihilation method.
“Astrophysics” provides another element.
In earlier times, the rejection of collective wisdom and AI in the culture of heaven and man and great sages was the foreshadowing of this moment.
The foreshadowing of “cheap qubits to precious reverse-chronological logic gates” and the ability of former knowers to “emerge” are Wang Qi’s power to ensure that this game will not be cracked – starting from the relief of the Demon King, Wang Qi and Ji The conversation of the former knower is all preparing for this moment.
At the last moment, the feeling of all the clues being linked together is really, really cool.
For me, this story actually started in “Shenjing”.
It starts with the topic of black hole spirits and ends with a black hole spirit telling
a complete story.
For me, I have done it.
The most important task of a “story” is to provide people with a “sense of surprise” – there is a kind of surprise of “digging a groove and such an operation”, which is an important source of the pleasure of reading.
This point, O’Henry summed up very thoroughly.
Unexpected, reasonable.
I think, my last story should be unexpected and reasonable, right?
——Perhaps an exception to Willalien’s friend who saw my finale a month in advance?
Friends, you broke the news a month in advance, and I still can’t eat! The outline is torn up – haha, just kidding. willalien was probably my earliest reader, and the first to seriously discuss my handwritten “Reiki formula”.
When I wrote that bullshit formula, I never imagined that I would actually complete a whole book of bullshit based on that formula and complete “fictional physics”.
Thanks to book friend willalien for inspiring me.
In addition, I would also like to thank my new moderator kyubey in the book review area. Over the past few years, this professional has given me great theoretical support.
I would also like to thank those friends who helped me manage my game account during my update, thank those friends who came to see me in offline activities…
Thank you to all the book friends who are willing to see here.
Thank you for accompanying me through my immature period.
Thank you for being here.
In “Into the Immortals”, I got at most one-third of the consummation. For me, this is definitely not my limit.
Hope we can meet in the next story.
